Capucci Foundation

This week I went to the Capucci Foundation which is located across the river and towards the hillside of Florence. When we went to the Capucci foundation they forgot about our tour guide so instead we had just a self guided tour.
Roberto Capucci was a great fashion designer that made fabulous couture evening gowns and dresses. He  loved using color in his dresses. What I noticed in his designs was that he made had many creative shapes with pleating and other incredibly fine handwork. All his work had to of taken hundreds and hundreds of hours to finish. There was a lot of accordian pleating and then formed into large fan shapes and added to the already glamous dress. All his designs were over the top and gorgeous. There were some sketches of his work displayed in the exhibit as well as his actual garments. But there were some sketches that I didn't see the dresses in which I really would've liked.
